  • Dual Citizenship
    Dual Nationality is guided by Section 16 of the Citizenship Act 2000 (Act 591) and the Citizenship Regulations 2001 Section 10 and Section 11.

    i) HOW TO APPLY FOR DUAL NATIONALITY

    a) Apply to the Hon. Minister for the Interior for the grant of Dual Citizenship through our Diplomatic Missions abroad.

    b) Purchase of Form 10 at the cost of Two Hundred Ghana cedis (GH¢200) at our Diplomatic Missions abroad or at the Ministry of the Interior

     ATTACHMENT TO FORM 10
    • Covering letter ( forms submitted locally)
    • Evidence of Ghanaian nationality (Birth Certificate or Passport)
    • For persons who have renounced their Ghanaian Citizenship, evidence of Renunciation of Ghanaian Citizenship
    • Evidence of parent’s nationality (Passport, Voter’s ID, Birth Certificate)
    • Four (4) passport sized photographs
    • Forms should be sealed by a Notary Public, High/Circuit Court Judge or Head of Ghana’s Mission Abroad..

    c) Issue of Certificate signed by the Hon. Minister for the Interior (Form 11) at the cost of Twenty Ghana Cedis (GH¢20)

    Both passports should be shown at the point of entry for processing by the Immigration Officer.
