As part of the 2021 Civil Service Week Celebration and Awards Ceremony slated for 5th to 13th August 2021, the Ministry of the Interior organized an exhibition to showcase its programmes and activities.
The week-long celebration, which is under the auspices of the Office of the Head of Civil Service, is on the theme: Economic Transformation amid Covid-19 Pandemic: The Responsibilities of an Adaptive Civil Service’.
Activities lined up for the celebration are Press launch, Christian and Muslim thanksgiving service, Public lecture, Policy fair and exhibition, Clean up exercise and health screening and it will be climaxed by Awards ceremony at the Accra International Conference Centre.
Interacting with staff and clients during the Ministry’s exhibition, the Chief Director of the Ministry, Mrs Adelaide Anno-Kumi, thanked the staff for the exhibition, hard work and continuous dedication to their motherland. She said the exhibition is an opportunity to inform and educate the public about the Ministry’s policies, programmes and activities.
She explained that the Celebration was set aside to highlight the collective strategies adopted by the Civil Service for the continuous improvement of government business amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Chief Director added that the Celebration also seeks to recognize the strategic importance of employees of the Civil Service to national development and honour their dedicated and selfless service to the public and citizens of Ghana.
Mrs Anno-Kumi commended the leadership of the Civil Service for their initiatives and said with the necessary measures being put in place, there is a better future for the Civil Service.
