A delegation of selected chiefs from the Eastern and Central regions, known as Eastern and Central Selected Chiefs for Development, led by Nana Amoah Kwadwo II Mawurehene of Aburi Apweasin (Alhaji Mustapha) paid a courtesy call on the Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak to offer a partnership in the prisons agriculture project.

The project, championed by the Minister aims to promote agriculture and self-sufficiency within the prisons system.

Hon. Muntaka welcomed the chiefs’ offer of partnership and expressed his appreciation for their willingness to support the project.

The chiefs, expressed their enthusiasm for the project and pledged their support to ensure its success.

By partnering with the Ministry, the chiefs aim to contribute their expertise and resources to enhance the project’s impact.

The Prisons Agriculture Project is an initiative to promote food security and self-sufficiency within the prisons system, improve the living conditions of inmates and provide them with valuable skills in agriculture.
