The Minister for the Interior, Hon. Henry Quartey has expressed gratitude for strong bilateral relations between Ghana and Hungary, emphasising the importance of security and intelligence cooperation.

The Minister reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring peace and stability before, during, and after the upcoming elections.

Hon. Henry Quartey made these remarks when he received the Ambassador of Hungary to Ghana, H.E. Tamás Féner, in his office in Accra on a courtesy visit

The Hon. Minister called for deeper collaboration between Ghana and Hungry. He explored training opportunities for staff of the Ministry and its Agencies, highlighting the need for capacity building and training to enhance their knowledge and expertise.

Ambassador Féner reciprocated the sentiment, offering Hungary’s expertise and best practices in counter-terrorism, border management, and cybersecurity.

He reiterated Hungary’s commitment to deepening cooperation with Ghana and exploring mutual benefits.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to further discussions and exploration of cooperation areas between Ghana’s Ministry of the Interior and Hungary’s security agencies.
